Happy
Hearts

The Happy Hearts Nursery was established in 1979 with the aim of accepting the child as he is as an individual within the group and working on his mental, physical, educational and social development in a correct, sound and developed manner through a balanced and integrated environment.

The Happy Hearts Nursery receives children from the age of 40 days to three and a half years throughout the year. Children from the age of 4 years to six years are also received during school holidays and vacations.

The educational program qualifies three-year-old children to pass the entrance exams to kindergarten classes in schools through scientific activities in Arabic first and then in a foreign language, French or English, according to the child's age, abilities and the parents' desire.

The nursery organizes a number of activities during the year in which other institutions and care homes participate, including: Iftar for orphaned children in the holy month of Ramadan.

The nursery also receives school and university students throughout the year for training in its departments, and the association is keen to have nursery teachers participate in training courses in order to develop their abilities.

The nursery manager and its teachers also contribute by working with some elderly women in Dar Al Karama to fill their free time through manual activities that are beneficial to them psychologically, physically and morally. A medical team of specialists examines the children weekly and records notes on their health files.

Dar
Alkarama

The Child and Mother welfare Association, which carries the slogan “From Childhood to Old Age”, opened Dar Al Karama on Saturday, July 5, 1985, in implementation of the association’s goals of caring for the elderly and looking after them to preserve their dignity in a family atmosphere that suits them and to provide all their needs. The Child and Mother welfare Association strives with all its might to provide a decent life, health care, a family atmosphere and healthy food for the residents of Dar Al Karama.

A specialist doctor cares for the health of the elderly and visits them twice a week and sometimes several times if necessary. The home is also supervised by two managers with a medication management specialist, with the help of a number of nurses who take shifts day and night. The association always tries to entertain the elderly, especially on holidays and Mother’s and Grandmother’s Day occasions, and is keen on morning exercise. We also cooperate with the nursery officials to fill the void with coloring, drawing and handicrafts.

The floors have been rehabilitated to ensure complete comfort for the elderly, including heating and air conditioning. A new floor has also recently been renovated and equipped to receive new residents. Dar Al Karama is also visited by many university and school students to conduct research on the elderly and at the same time to entertain them as part of their educational programs.
